About Us
My Name is Heidi McKay and I have a love and passion for the Afghan Hound.
My dogs have very impressive breeding behind them and Lijolba Afghan hounds plans are to contribute in a positive way to future breeding.
I have always loved Sight Hounds and in past years had Greyhounds.
I discovered the Afghan Hound one day on a rescue website and that was when I bought my first Afghan Hound, from then on I fell in love with this elegant and clownish breed.
We are situated on acreage in a place called Greenbank, around 35 minutes away from Brisbane Queensland, Australia.
I love spending time with my dogs ,that is why I decided I wanted to show them in Conformation shows. Ever since then I have had many fun days with my dogs, enjoying meeting people and enjoying new parts of this glorious country. This breed is a delight to live with and brings a ray of sunshine to my life and I hope I can be a part of this breeds future to be able to make many more peoples lives happy too.
